GlassRoots | Peters Valley Fellows Exhibition 2025
The GlassRoots Peters Valley Fellowship is a fully-funded, 12-week immersive program designed for artists aged 18-26. This unique opportunity allows participants to explore a diverse range of art-making techniques, including glassblowing, stained glass, blacksmithing, ceramics, printmaking, jewelry design and more. Working between GlassRoots in Newark, NJ and Peters Valley School of Craft in Layton, NJ, participants will work closely with professional artists and receive career development support including portfolio building, resume writing and public speaking. Fellows will thrive in a collaborative, creative and supportive environment, benefiting from free tuition, communal housing, meals, and transportation. Additionally, a weekly stipend is provided to ensure Fellows can fully dedicate themselves to their artistic growth.
Many thanks to those of you who joined us for the GlassRoots | Peters Valley Fellows Exhibition earlier this month as part of the Newark Arts Festival 2025! We welcomed friends and new visitors from the Halsey Art Block Party and the Newark Arts Festival Gallery Crawl during our city’s lively celebration of our unmatched arts and culture scene.
THANK YOU to the hardworking and dedicated Newark Arts Team and congratulations to this year’s Fellows on an outstanding display of your talents! Hats off to you Sean Jones, Jamesia Griffin, Liz Henderson, ShaNoah Rutledge, Orchid Sylvester, Cezar Regala and Exhibition Coordinator (and 2024 Fellow!) Phoenyx Ojo.
GlassRoots is proud to join with the renowned Peters Valley School of Craft to offer this unique program, where students can explore the arts in depth, made possible by the generous support of The Nicholson Foundation
