Learn glassblowing, flameworking, or mosaics in a focused and engaging environment one-on-one or bring a friend or two.
Glassblowing
Work one-on-one with our trained Teaching Artists to learn the ancient art of glassblowing. Each participant will make at least one object. Beginner projects include cups, paperweights, hearts, flowers, pumpkins and ornaments.
Cost: Private lesson for 1-2 people for 2 hours, $200; 3 people for 3 hours, $300
Flame Shop
Learn to melt colorful glass rods using a torch to create glass beads: the starting point for making glass art and objects. Explore color blending, shaping and decorating to craft your unique glass bead into a completed design. Beads can be fashioned into earrings, pendants, bracelets and small sculptures.
Cost: Private lesson for 2 hours, $100; 1-hour lesson available, $55
Mosaics
Learn the techniques of cutting, arranging and grouting glass pieces to craft mosaic works of art. Let your artistic vision come to life as you create intricate patterns and designs. Projects may include trays, table tops, picture frames and other home décor items.
Cost: Private lesson for 2 hours, $45
Stained Glass
Learn to cut, grind and shape colorful sheet glass into a unique piece of art. Choose from among a wide variety of small patterns to create sun catchers, candle holders, ornaments or wall hangings.
Cost: Private lesson for 1-2 people for 3 hours, $300; 3 people for 3 hours, $400
