Studio Access

Our studios are open to any qualified artist who wants to rent time and equipment.

The Hot Shop at GlassRoots is booked for rentals in one-hour increments (minimum two hours). General guidelines:

To schedule rental time, please email bookings@glassroots.org
Rentals are held on a first-come, first-served basis and require full payment in advance.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees.
All renters are expected to finish working with enough time to clean up. Failure to clean up will result in a $25 fee.
Glass is supplied up to 10 lbs. per Glory Hole/per hour. Any glass usage above this allotment will incur a charge of $10 per pound. Glass usage includes work, crack-off and drip-off.
Work must be picked up within seven days of completion. Any work not picked up within 30 days will be considered abandoned and will become the property of GlassRoots.

ANNEALER RENTALS

Annealers are not included in the Glory Hole rental rates and must be reserved.

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT RENTALS

KILN RENTALS

Kiln rentals are not included in the kiln forming studio rental rates and must be reserved by emailing bookings@glassroots.org.

FLAMEWORKING RENTALS / OPEN STUDIO AT GLASSROOTS

The Flameworking Studio is available at $25/hour which includes tools and safety glasses.
Renters must provide or purchase their own glass.

COLD WORKING STUDIO

The Cold Working Studio is available at $15/hour and includes the use of basic grinding and polishing materials.
