Our New Home
Have you heard? GlassRoots is moving to our new home in Teachers Village in early 2026! Our new home will position Newark’s premier glass art center as an anchor of the City’s Arts and Education District and an engaging cultural institution for the evolving neighborhood of Teachers Village. This fall, we’ve been leading hard hat tours of our new space as construction unfolds while also planning programs and events for 2026.
Our larger facilities – twice the size of our current location – will strengthen our organization’s impact throughout the Greater Newark community by accommodating more school and community-based partnerships to serve over 10,000 students annually. GlassRoots will continue its tradition as a welcoming, creative space for young people, families, artists and the business community.
This state-of-the-art ground-level location will also house GlassRoots’ administrative offices, glassmaking studios, classrooms and event spaces, providing greater access and visibility to the general public. We are expecting to complete construction by the end of 2025 and plan to move in early 2026 – just in time to celebrate our 25th anniversary!
We can’t wait to host you all in our new space next year! Until then, don’t be a stranger. Check back here for news and updates.
