Alexander Cubano
Administrative Assistant
intern@glassroots.org
Alexander Cubano is a local artist from Newark, NJ, whose main medium is glass. He has studied scientific glass production, cold-working, flat shop processes, & glass blowing. After attending Penland School of Craft and Pilchuck Glass School, he started to experiment with raw materials & different metals & found that adding & subtracting other materials can enhance glass art greatly.
He is grateful to GlassRoots for the wonderful opportunity to participate in its Crafting the Future Internship, which allowed him to experiment with mixed media ideas & reminded him to take it easy. He learned that the more fun you have with a material, the better.
