GlassRoots Train-Up Initiative
GlassRoots Train-Up Initiative is dedicated to closing opportunity gaps in underrepresented communities by actively recruiting and training BIPOC young adults. This program equips participants with valuable skills and exposure to diverse career paths in the arts, including roles as teaching artists, studio technicians, non-profit arts managers, and visual artists.
As part of this initiative, the Teacher Training Program empowers young artists (ages 18-26) with specialized training in art pedagogy. Through hands-on mentorship, participants gain real-world teaching experience, particularly in glass arts.
More than just a program, the Train-Up Initiative is a transformative journey that prepares emerging artists with practical skills and unlocks exciting career opportunities, fostering sustainable creative careers and increasing representation in the art world.
