As a multidisciplinary artist with a BA from Rowan University, Giovanna creates art primarily for herself, prioritizing personal expression & authenticity over mass consumption. She has experience working with various mediums, including photography, sculpture, videography, & metalwork. Additionally, Giovanna has been experimenting with glass arts, including lampworking, glassblowing, mosaics, & pate de verre.
Other artistic techniques Giovanna has explored include lino printmaking, jewelry smithing, creating pendants & enamel earrings, shibori, & blacksmithing. Her work is centered around incorporating her culture into art & reflecting the interests & experiences of her daily life. Through her art, Eley aims to challenge established norms, promote inclusivity, & contribute to a more diverse & representative art field.
